Casper R. Curto, owner of Mill Valley based Casper Landscape Design, serves Marin, Sonoma, Napa and the San Francisco Bay Area. For more than thirty years, he has designed residential gardens that blend styles such as California Contemporary, Asian, Cottage and Drought Tolerant.
Design Philosophy
Casper's gardens are designed with a sophisticated artist's eye and diverse palate. In creating each garden, he draws on an eclectic collection of plant material ranging from succulents and cacti to roses and orchids. Casper creates gardens not to mimic nature, but to create distinctive spaces integrating rich colors and textures with each homeowner's unique tastes and style.
Awards and Press
The North Coast chapter of the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA) awarded Casper Landscape Design with the 2000 Sweepstakes Trophy for Best Residential Landscape Maintenance, as well as the 2002 Statewide 1st Place Award for Large Residential Maintenance and 2002 Award of Recognition for Residential Landscape Management. In 2007 Casper won a gold medal for Garden Creator with the San Francisco Bromeliad Society at the San Francisco Flower and Garden Show.
Casper's work can also be seen on the HGTV (Home and Garden Television) show "Landscape Smarts," and has been highlighted in the Sunset Gardens book entitled Reinventing Your Garden.
